GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Field Marketing Representative provides effective sales and marketing support to agents in northern NJ, and is accountable for profitable growth in assigned agency(ies). Field Marketing Representatives are responsible for managing the daily business relationship between the Company and sales agents to increase sales. Also responsible for Implementing and monitoring agent-based sales initiatives and campaigns. This person will help drive sales and revenue through product training, sales training, coaching and performance management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops individual marketing plans and implementation strategy for field agents and marketing assistants.
  • Conducts face-to-face meetings with agents to strengthen business relationships; identify selling opportunities; and gather competitive intelligence.
  • Conducts ongoing quality review meetings with producing, or potentially producing, agents.
  • Act as key day-to-day liaison with the agency force and assist in the resolution of issues or problems impacting the agents.
  • Develops, trains, implements and monitors sales programs and campaigns within an assigned field agency.
  • Develops marketing materials and campaigns to help motivate agents.
  • Assist with design and delivery of training programs to advance the sales skills, product knowledge, and performance of agents and marketing assistants.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Sales oriented /Training position.
  • Knowledge of NJ automobile insurance marketplace.
  • Ability to coach and motivate sales agents.
  • Experience in building relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Products (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, ACCESS).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Frequent travel within NJ. Company vehicle provided.
  • Incumbent will be required to obtain P&C License during first year of employment.
